Favourite crisps?

They still sell them in some places, I think sainsburys in Brixton has them.

They now look like this though and tend to blend in with the McCoys.

I love these!

And Discos, McCoys, Quavers, Skips, Doritos, Walkers Max, Walkers Sensation, Roysters, Pringles etc etc....:o

but if Ihad to choose, it was be seabrookes, I adore their crisps and recently got a letter inviting me to take part in some taste tests for them cos i order straight from the factory :D replied YES but not heard back yet :D

Seabrooks is  they used to be my highlight of holidays 'oop north but then I discovered they were sold in Asda. Aces! I wish they still had the old school see-through packets.

I HEART M&S Crisps - the Full on Flavour ones, especially the Beef and Onion since Walkers did away with their beef and onion and replaced it with the infinitely inferior "Steak" and onion.

I'm glad you've mentioned the vileness of the new steak and onion crisps  I loved beef and onion and they've destroyed them

don;t its fab :D you get to choose the combination of flavours too that make up the 48 :D its brilliant :D

It's rubbish, ain't it? The new steak and onion are bland and totally lacks the pizzazz of a good old beef and onion. Oh well! I'll just have to buy the jumbo bags from M&S instead of the small Walkers bags :D

Are crisps worse than chocolate , I really ought to give up one or the other.

I like most crisps , apart from Pringles which are yuck.

Walkers:
Thai Sweet Chili
Salt & Vinegar

Other:
whoever makes those evil, evil Mesquite Salsa ones. YUM.

I used to love them too, but haven't seen them for years

Hmm dunno.

If you're eating organic dark (min 70%) chocolate and not too often then it's definitely better than fatty, salty, simple carbohydrate snacks (some flavoured crisps have sugar in them too).

Even if you eat Galaxy or whatever I still reckon the crisps are worse....so yeah, crisps are worse IMO :)

I know this isn't much use to you but the two places I can think of in London are - the cornershop inside Old Street station and The Angel pub near Tottenham Court Road.

Well, they'd better carry on bloody doing them, just in case I ever get my arse down to that london then! :D

I'm not a massive fan of Kettle Chips, but I had some Burt's Chips the other day and they were very good. (Once crisps get posh, they become chips, it seems.)

Nothing beats a good ready-salted Hula Hoop, though

Tavern Snacks sea salt and black pepper crisps are great (and they're made in Greenwich).

Also plain Hula Hoops. Any other flavour of Hula Hoop is a travesty.
I am keen to try the Hula Hoop'n'cheddar recipe.

I used to work in a crisp factory and practically lived off crisps. I never got sick of them in all the time I was there, but I did get sick of the flavours. We used to eat the hot crisps, straight out of the cookers and not yet coated in any flavour. Lush.

*ahem* Anyway, my favourites are:

1) Brannigan's Roast Beef and Mustard

(the rest aren't really in order)

Seabrooks.
Chilli Doritos
Puffs (not seen 'em for years)
KP own brand crisps (much better than walkers, which are shite - unfortunately not seen them since I left the factory)
M&S Cheddar Cheese and Spring Onion
Kettle Chips and the own brand versions
Those root veg ones are nice, too, for a healthy delusion option.

Salt n Vinegar Discos.

Fucking salty. Fucking vinegary. Hard to find though.

Can't be doing with 'posh' crisps - Seabrooks (old packets) are best brand.

UK plc seems to be heading towards a Walkers monopoly though. Sometimes when I'm back in Yorkshire I can only find Walkers even in Seabrooks hometown (Bradford). If I see that Gary Lineker I'm gonna kill him in the face.

Brannigan's Roast Beef and Mustard is gorgeous, if I can't get beef and mustard flavour reconstituted potato starch fhingy-ma-jig (hula hoops). Other favs include thai sweet chilli walkers sensations, tyrells root veg crisps (beetroot, carrot, sweet potato and parsnip = yum), s&mv/steak mccoys, frazzles, roysters and lots others that I want to stop myself thinking about... :o
