No, that's why I offered :p

Right, where can we check they'll get through? I tried defra and they're useless, but I'm sure there is a site that tells you. I know you can send vacuum packs most places but crisps aren't vacuumed

If we find out it's ok an you pm me flavours and your addy I'll see what I can do. Could maybe send you a box(instant packaging innit :D )

I bet they are MORE than 100 cals a packet,

Depending on the flavour, they vary between 109 & 156 cal per pack, with 70% of the calories derived from the fat used in production (I won't say cooking)

For comparison, cheese Quavers come-in at around 80cal per pack, with @51% of those derived from fat.

However, when you are dealing with corn-fluffy products (& indeed many other reconstituted snacks), you also have that delightful substance called phospholipase to consider - it is used for partial predigestion by just about everyone. Eeeeyuck!

Personally, I'm enjoying the odd pack of Seabrooks ATM. :)

Cheese and onion Hula Hoops.

Salt and Vinegar Hula Hoops

Plain Hula Hoops.

Not beef Hula Hoops - All Beef flavour crisps are fucking shit.

I made an awesome crisp-based snack the other day:

It used 1 packet of plain Hula Hoops and a decent chunk of nice creamy mature cheddar.

I cut the chunk of cheddar into about 40 identical small chunks - each about 0.5cm cubed.

Each chunk was then lovingly inserted into the Hoop of each Hula, forming a lush Hula/Cheese hybrid.

The Cheese-packed Hoops were then put back into the original packet and I decanted to the lounge to watch TV and consume my masterpiece in the comfy-chair.

all crisps, I'm a total crisp-aholic :o

but if Ihad to choose, it was be seabrookes, I adore their crisps and recently got a letter inviting me to take part in some taste tests for them cos i order straight from the factory :D replied YES but not heard back yet :D

Mine are Kettle Chips - I love the density, the shapes, the crunch, and the very simple flavour with the fancypants description - 'sea salt with crushed black peppercorns'.

Pringles are ok occasionally, but they're not all that.

Chipsticks are ace, both the melty-mouth version that sticks to your tongue, and the ones that look like matchsticks.

Wotsits are just plain wrong - they smell like dead old geezers balls on a hot day. No, I have no direct experience! Just an imagination

What's YOUR favourites?

Walkers Plain salted mostly.

Occasionally Beef Monster Munch but they're a rare find.

When I visit England I have to have Prawn Cocktail as you can't any decent flavours abroad.

I love crisps but have really cut down recently. My favourites:

Sea salt and black pepper
Salt and vinegar (especially chipsticks)
Worcester sauce (bought some Tyrells ones the other day which I'm saving as a special treat :D)
Walkers Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli
Tortilla chips with salsa
Prawn cocktail

I've only had crisps twice this month. :(

Tayto Cheese & Onion are THE only crisp for me.

and if we're talking non-spud snack thingys I'll have Monster Munch please mmmm artificial flavouring powdery stuff at the bottom of the bag that you can lick your finger & dip into mmmmm

I used to love those, but haven't seen them for ages! Can you still get them?

They still sell them in some places, I think sainsburys in Brixton has them.

They now look like this though and tend to blend in with the McCoys.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM salt and vinegar Seabrooks. Food of the gods

Wish I could get them to try - There are plenty of stores that stock them here but only one that takes-in anything more than ready-salted but usually only Prawn Cocktail, Worcester Sauce & Cheese & Onion - my least favourite flavours of all. :(
