Onions frying, with some spices and/or garlic.

The smell a good fry-up makes.

Baking bread.

I loathe cooking smells, and the way they cling to your hair all day. Especially fast food places, which smell of rancid fat. :mad:
 
frying onions, garlic, bacon ...
baking bread or cakes, expecially if they've got cinnamon or mixed spice in them ...
chopping parsley or mint...
roasting chicken, but also roasting tomatoes or peppers...
anything givng off wafts of coconut or gingery broth ...

and when really really hungry, somehow even the smell of potatoes being boiled is almost unbearably savoury, enough to drive you to fish one of the spuds right out of the water and eat it then & there.
 
Our neighbour's traditional Mauritian curry is my favourite smell. Many a time I have been out in the garden and this whiff comes over so I go and knock on their door and they always give us some.
