favourite cod-reggae song

Could some Grace Jones stuff be regarded as 'cod reggae' ? she even had sly & dunbar playing on her albums. If so she'd get my vote.

She was produced by Sly & Robbie but most of her stuff wasn't really cod reggae - maybe My Jamaican Guy is, but the rest of it is pretty unique really, I mean, you couldn't really say I've Seen That Face Before or La Vie En Rose is cod reggae, could you?

I don't think you can lump Grace Jones in especially given Sly and Robbie's contribution.

This is more for songs like the reggae version of "Combine Harvester" by the Wurzels, which was No:8 in 1979, I will see if I can link to my copy. :)

A travesty that they ever covered that song.

Kate (Bless her she's brill I know) Bush's version of 'Rocket Man' has been known to make North Sea Oil Platform Welders weep.

This vid is classic..I mean what's this fella doing with his hands around Kate's bust area!! Dude! BACK OFF!!!...and that Ukelele!!...'I'm not the kind of man you think I am'..YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN KATE!!!!!

The Clash's Police and Thieves was good but I preferred these

'One More Time'

'Armagideon Time'

Hall and Oates - Soldering,
although this was a cover of a real reggae song it smells incredibly fishy in the hands of H and O
