What do you mean by this? I quite like the food, but the restaurants are tacky and the service is often shit.

*but not that much

Tarranau vote :D:D:D

Bastard
:D

Fucking inaccurate too. I'm quite a fast food fan as well as liking the homecooking thing. I'm a food ponce who dismissed beef wellington in favour of the integrity of fried chicken, patties or something. I think old Geoff's in a tizzy because nobody's buying his ever-commited 'ipods are shit' line in another thread.

Nandos out of the above, although I've a love of American Hot pizzas from Pizza Express too.

I'm saing that I can't tell the difference between Pizza Express and Pizza Hut. If you can explain it, I'll be delighted.

For me, Pizza Express has proper thin crust pizzas and not only can you see them being prepared - you can also see all of the ingredients.

Pizza (or Pasta, depending whether on trial re-brand) Hut doesn't.

I really like Wagamama, I only ever eat there if I'm in London though, which isn't very often.

I like Cafe Rouge too, only been there a few times, but you can't argue with a whole baked Camembert tbh.

For me - and calm down, calm down Quimcunx :D - it is the range and quality of food which distingusies them from each other.

Pizza Hut tends to be soggy, fatty stuff with generic salads and garlic bread which looks like it has been bought from the freezer aisle at Tesco's where as Pizza Expres seems to use nbetter quality ingredients and has more individualism (is that even a word:confused:) in what they serve.

There is a place for both though and I have to say a greasy soggy Pizza - sorry Pasts as they are now calling themselves! - Hut pizza is sometimes just what your belly needs :)

Thank goodness. Someone else apart from me likes Café Rouge.
Before getting a dog ruined our lives, we used to regularly haunt Café Rouge. When you live in ruralish Surrey, there isn't a great deal of choice for a nice quiet café to go to and have a coffee and bit of cake at 9ish.

Cafe Rouge is quite nice.

i had an absolutely delicious meal in a Glasgow branch a few years back.

It's in the next price bracket up, so I guess that one's expectations would be higher for that reason alone. I've rarely been disappointed tbf.

I also like Davy's Wine Bars.

Wagamamas - for the Katsu Curry alone :)

Pizza Express isn't too bad but bit pricey and if I remember correctly, the pizzas are quite small :(

Not mine.

What being called Pasta Hut rather than Pizza Hut?

It's a fairly new thing I think - when we were driving back from Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago every second advert seemed to be some cheery fellow telling us that Pizza Hut has changed and will now be known as .... drumroll ... Pasta Hut! To reflect their new image apparently :hmm:
