Favorite film Soundtrack

Rockers
The Good The Bad and The Ugly
Blue Velvet
Night of the Hunter
Star Wars
5th Element - especially that performance by Tricky
The Hunger
Deliverance
Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner -incredible soundtrack composed entirely of Inuit throat chanting.

Lots more, that's what comes to mind right now

The Wanderers is defo my fave soundtrack - great late 50's/early 60's american pop/soul:-

Walk Like A Man (The Four Seasons)
Ya Ya (Lee Dorsey)
Big Girls Don't Cry (The Four Seasons)
My Boyfriends Back (The Angels)
Sherry (The Four Seasons)
Baby It's You (The Shirelles)
Pipeline (Chantays)
You Really Got A Hold On Me (Smokey Robinson And The Miracles)
Wipeout (The Surfaris)
Soldier Boy (The Shirelles)
Stand By Me (Ben E. King)
Shout (The Isley Brothers)
Do You Love Me (The Contours)
Runaround Sue (Dion)
Tequila (The Champs)
I Love You (The Champs)
The Wanderer (Dion)

It was put together before the modern OST, so does not contain the annoying snippets from the film that are good first listen, then get very boring.

2001: A Space Odyssey - Excellent use of classic music

Thumbsucker - An independent coming of age film with a magical ethereal soundtrack that fits the films mood perrfectly. Elliot Smith wrote 3 songs used on the film before he died, the Polyphonic Spree were called into to finish it.
