Latest schnews has a good article.

You are right, coverage is slow - not least among the establishment corporate press who are basically avoiding it like the plague. Funny, they fell over themselves for Drax.

im not bothered by the lack of mainstream coverage im bothered by the absolute lack of self coverage and photos and blogs and internet postings etc etc

ah it was a worth a try http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=faslane

Some of what you say rings true. But a sustained campaign with frequent arrest is more newsworthy than half the crap that features in bulletins. If they wanted to make something of it they very easily could and would. That they choose not to belies their innate reactionary bias.
When the same thing takes place regularly with little variation, it ceases to be news. While the media does have an inherent bias, its bias much of the time is simply towards what seems noteworthy - which individual actions at Faslane are not, to be blunt. When push comes to shove they will invariably side with state/capital but there are reasons for lack of coverage wider than an ideological opposition.

Same as when a Stop the War march a bit ago got ignored by most press and was immediately pointed to by the Trots as a blatant example of media bias against the anti-war movement. Well, maybe - but their having held essentially identical demos several times a year for several years with no real change or action is part of it too.

Yours truly is going up next Monday to do legal support with the Manchester blockade. Nice to be doing something useful and in defence of international law too :)

Cerisa is on site at the moment, she says its cold - the police have moved some protesters off the road but there is a good atmosphere in the camp. Good numbers as well.

Hope she doesn't get arrested :D

Our blockade managed to blockade the road for an hour. Didnt get arrested but kind of wish I had - it's absolutely FREEZING make sure you take the best quality camping gear you can afford, and make time to look round the loch, it's beautiful. The police are being pretty reasonable, and were very careful of my friend's diabetes. They reacted badly to lock-ins though - if you're going to do it, be very quick.

Just back from the Tyneside action on 19/20th (stayed to drive the van back with the arrestees). Really good action, 12 arrested (takes the total so far to 301), but my god, the rain!!!

Arrestees held for about 28 / 29 hours at Paisley, all released with warning letters bar one with a 50 fine for Breach of the Peace - none of us sure why this was treated differently so prob looking into that some more.

Police pretty ok, in total roads blocked from about 7.10 until 8.50 so fairly effective - talks underway re a possible visit next year......
