A Jack? No way duderino. Fulham is my team, followed swiftly by Spurs. Swansea is just where I work.

I support Fulham, went to every home game for about four years before I moved to Wales and even worked for the club. What's wrong with that?

Don't get me wrong, I go to matches because I like footie. I tagged along with a few Fulham mates (when they were shit) and stood on the terraces - I go along with mates to see Coventry and my girlf to see her beloved. I've even seen my home town team lift the FA Vase cup at Wembley - but there is only one team I care about regardless of whether they win, lose or draw.

I don't really take 2/3/4 club fans that seriously. I just don't get it? Why multiply the pain? Do they feel 2/3/4 times as bad as me when their 2/3/4 teams lose? Do they feel 2/3/4/ times as good as me when their teams win?

One team - anything more is wierd imo.

Once you've registered and logged in, go to the "rules" section by clicking on the link on the right - it's at the bottom of the page.....but for anyone else navigationally challenged, here it is:


For playing in a game 1
For playing at least 60 minutes in a game (includes playing points mentioned above) 2
For each goal scored by your goalkeeper or defenders 6
For each goal scored by your midfielders 5
For each goal scored by your forwards 4
For each goal assist 3
For your goalkeeper / defender conceding 0 goals and playing at least 60 minutes 4
For your midfielders conceding 0 goals and playing at least 60 minutes 2
For every 3 saves made by your goalkeeper 1
For every penalty save 5
For every penalty miss -2
Bonus points for being judged to have made an excellent performance in a game 3
For every 2 goals conceded by your goalkeeper or defenders -1
For every yellow card -1
For every red card (includes any yellow card points) -3
 
I don't think promotion/ relegation really worked, as I felt no satisfaction avoiding the drop (and don't think I would've 'winning' the league) as I just calculated where I was overall all the time.
 
hmmm, i think it did actually - it was certainly bloody annoying to miss promotion twice incredibly narrowly, and going down was a right bastard. still i wont make the same mistakes that led to that happening this time - i wont pick any bloody everton players at all!
 
in my view, the promotion/relegation thing worked - as did the cup (good on you, belboid). I'd argue that we possibly need more promo/relegation slots. It keeps it interesting.

Either that, or we become a bit more vigorous with "weeding" those teams that are doing a Marie Celeste....

Hardly Championship material, pinning hopes on Frankie L, Given, Shearer and Southgate

I didn't really like that I had to calculate where I really was in the league.

div 2 became v small iirc.

The Cup really worked. We could have 2 cups?

I agree with chopping teams off when they give up after their first shit week.
 
I ran out of money and ended up with a westbrom goalie...and there was me thinking they'd been relegated! but that was the year before? Oh. Guess i'll do well then. :(
 
yeah I ended up with rubbish too but at the end of the day, after 90minutes, it's a game of two halves really, and the referee, made some mistakes but we have to live by them, I have confidence in all of my players and I'm sure as a club we're strong enough to get through this together and with the support of our loyal loyal fans we can pull through and maybe look at some silverware, at the moment though, the 3 points is all that matters

better get my excuses in early (:

I'm up for doing a cup again - maybe wait until after the division split (if that's how we decide to do it) to avoid the disappearing teams thing that happened last year.

but how do you actually know who they are? I mean ernie was bottom for yonks, but he was still playing!

Yeah, but you can do a mixture of looking to see if the player is posting on the thread and whether the team itself has had any transfer action. And nobody should get booted without a warning/PM asking if they are still playing.......
