I don't know how you can possibly say that, looking at Duran Duran's output - from the brutal majesty of "Wild Boys", through the biting social commentary of "Girls On Film", to the emotional depth of "Save A Prayer".
I saw a funny interview with Boyzone about their reunion where they basically said they were jumping on the bandwagon and were really quite self-loathing and disgusted with themselves about the whole thing.
Went to see him (well, accompanied Mrs.rh) when he toured last year with Martin Fry. Must say I was pleasantly surprised. Seemed quite a nice geezer between songs, and his singing wasn't too bad.
