Famous people who don't exist

Mrs Mainwaring
She did actually utter something between a groan and a roar in one of the radio episodes....Pru Forrest was a famous silent character in the Archers...I remember seeing a cartoon years ago that posited the theory that the reason was that she was a member of Sinn Fein....

Norm's wife in Cheers.

The guy who used to live next door to Victor Meldrew - did he not have a mother that you never saw?

Abigail, she of "Abigail's party" fame

and the lovely samantha (i'm sorry i haven't a clue) - who i think fits even with acid priest's rule :p

Damn you beat me to Vera Peterson.

She does actually walk into the bar in one episode.

Door opens and cream pie splats her in the face, so we never do actually see her...

I've seen loads of Cheers episodes but not that one.

IIRC the most we ever saw of her was a humungous depression in the mattress of the air raid shelter bunk above Captain Mainwaring...

I was going to point this out. Rather sad that either of us should actually remember this.

Mrs Columbo

Mrs Columbo existed, but was too busy staring in her own series, in which, of course her own husband never turned up.

monkey allen from the office.

Actually, I think he was in it, was he not one of the warehouse workers that abused Tim when he ventured down there to show the Swindon lot around.

maybe, but you dont see him explicitly. it's "taffy" (glyn) who has the biggest go at tim.

Who is No.1? We never did find out in The Prisoner.

that bloke from Police Squad whose face you never saw because he was too tall.

er, kind of.

On a similar note - the big black woman in Tom & Jerry.
