Famous Blacks Not Supporting Obama?

True to some extent - but do you really think the last eight years would have been just the same if it had been Gore or Nader running things?

Yes, but with better PR.

Ron Paul ("Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the "criminal justice system," I think we can safely assume that 95% of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal. If similar in-depth studies were conducted in other major cities, who doubts that similar results would be produced? We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, but it is hardly irrational.") has a bit of a fucking cheek nicking that off Carlin.

Just to be fair...

"The quotations in The New Republic article are not mine and do not represent what I believe or have ever believed. I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts.

"In fact, I have always agreed with Martin Luther King, Jr. that we should only be concerned with the content of a person’s character, not the color of their skin. As I stated on the floor of the U.S.
House on April 20, 1999: ’I rise in great respect for the courage and high ideals of Rosa Parks who stood steadfastly for the rights of individuals against unjust laws and oppressive governmental policies.’

"This story is old news and has been rehashed for over a decade.
It’s once again being resurrected for obvious political reasons on the day of the New Hampshire primary.

"When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit. Several writers contributed to the product. For over a decade, I have publically taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name."

I don't really believe him, given that it was a tiny self-published pamphlet; not something you completely fail to realise is full of racist guff until ages later. It's not like his current policies are any good either in the main, even if he is anti-war and anti-corporate-influence.

I only posted the original link for the voicever anyway. It just happened to have been put on youtube by a Ron Paul supporter, which like you, I am not either.

Yeah but how do you explain that 90% of blacks vote Democrat?
I think that more and more educated blacks are voting Republican.
Because the Democrats are perceived to be more inclinded to greater redistribution - whether in the form of tax rates, or health and education and/or other social initiatives - as well as developing more inclusive (of the disenfranchised) policies.

That may or may not be correct, but it is still a popular perception.
