yes they woulda. I mean how can you question Nirvana's 'credibility?' they were always credible.

I dislike "grunge" as a musical genre descriptor.
Seems to refer more to fashion trends/social scenes with which certain alternative rock acts became associated than it does to a particular set of definable musical characteristics.
Absolutely. And the lyrics are painful to read. And I never listen to them now.Nirvana are ludicrously overrated
These are credible?
Agree entirely. There aren't that many musical similarties between nirvana, pearl jam soundgarden and alice i chains.
dave
Nope.
"Credibility" when applied to musical acts is surely almost as subjective as to whether a given artist is "good" or not?

Faith no more are one of the greatest bands ever.
Nirvana on the other hand were toss

It is societies judgement - which is effectively objective - not mine. It's not a question of my own subjectivity. Is Gary Glitter credible?
soundgarden vs faith no more.
now that's a toughie.

i get the impression you dont really like grunge butchers.
dave
Well, it depends on what's meant, as you said earlier, groups that are mile apart are dragged under the umbrella. I can't see the similairity in groups like say Tad or Alice and Chains, beyond them both being guitar based. All depends on what we mean by the term and who it covers.i get the impression you dont really like grunge butchers.
