FA Cup Quarter Final's draw.

Ahhh...And there's the rub eh?.

Let is be a lesson to you trippy...Internet alliances are fickle to say the least.

I hadn't read that before... ol rev showing his true colours :( "hanging on my coat tails" :( oh dear.

Are you fucking stupid? Do you actually know anything about the events under discussion?

United actually played less games than they probably would have in the FA Cup. I see no evidence that the competition in Brazil brought in more cash than an FA Cup run. And of course United can't be held entirely responsible for it, the FA and Government can be very persausive especially when the FA are under pressure from UEFA who are being pushed by FIFA. But regardless of that I said it was a mistake to go to Brazil.

BTW you were tolerable when you were hanging off my coat tails laughing at iRobot but you're increasingly superflous to requirements now and only showing yourself up as a clueless twat.

As for your comment about the 39th game, Fergie gave it a very cold reception, colder than anyother premiership manager. Like I said it was obvious to anyone he was giving it a barely coded thumbs down.

That bit gets to me too. :(

He'd make a good slave trader (a very good one).

Before I head to sleep, this thread got me thinking.

If what rev says is right (and I have no reason to disbelieve it) and the FA prepressured Man U to go to Brazil atthe expense of the FA Cup in which Man U where the reigning champions, then it makes a total mockery of this (their own) competition as they have unilaterally debased it by insisting on them going.

This has far reaching implications.

I hope people know what I'm try to assert here (if a little inarticulately).

Why would you be shocked, the FA are a bunch of fucking clowns, gutless ones at that.

I just think that the originators of the oldest cup competition in the world should have insisted on it's integrity being kept intact.

What's its worth (the FA Cup) if it's so easily sidestepped?

Okay, well how about these two?

Alan Davies and Nick Hornby*? :D

*Though Hi Fidelity is one of my favourite movies.

Hi fidelity is one of my fav books (dont much go in for movies).

Hornby's a dude...(I've met him).

And Alan is just lovable and shaggy...cant hate him.

I'm guessing their thinking was more concerned about winning the world cup bid that and not wanting to piss off the government, UEFA and FIFA.

Remember shit rolls downwards just as much in the football world as any other.

What's English got to do with it.

Seriously what naive as fuck planet have you been living on?

And I'm guessing they were thinking getting the world cup back to England would be better for English football than Man United missing the FA Cup. Also it could be argued that Man Utd were suppoused to be representing English football at the World Club Championships.

Why do you have to keep using language like that?

I'm just trying to see how this all came about.

Whay do you have to keep using language like that?

I'm just trying to see how this all came about.

How all this came about?

And honestly you are reading my posts wrong, my language is always peppered with swear words it isn't meant to denote aggression.

Then use a smilie. How do we know what your intentions are?

Normally when a person swears it denotes aggression.
