FA cup 3rd round draw

I can't stand Tottenham, and would be delighted if Cardiff beat them.

Rest assured everyone at "SPURS" hates you too, a recent matchday poll by Cocky the Cockerel confirmed this...

Sheffield Utd away, our 8th consecutive away draw in the FA Cup. Still should be a good game we usually do well against good opposition.

Chelsea in the League Cup (booted out) and Man Utd in the FA Cup. Why can't Villa be allowed a good 'run up' to these pissing competitions. What;s happened to Villa at home to Rochdale?

Come on you lazy sods, it's FA Cup third round weekend!

Pleased to announce that the Rovers are already safely through to round four after beating Hereford 1-0 tonight. Never really in trouble tbh though 1-0 always means that there was some doubt right up to the end.

Hats off to Hereford United for bringing the largest away following ever seen in Horfield (mainly 'cos we've never given an away side that much of the ground before!). It was Cup fever all round in BS7 as the queues stretched all the way across the car park as the game kicked off, the turnstiles ran out of change and we had to reduce the prices to a tenner in order to get everyone in! Officially the crowd was just under 9,000 but I have rarely seen the Mem that full before, reckon it was a few more than that.

Time to sit back, put our feet up and watch everyone else try to join us in the hat

To be fair Bristol seemed to want it more. They treated it like a 3rd round cup tie where as we seemed to treat it like an away league match where losing didnt really matter to much. You were lucky with the penalty though i thought and our strikers played with all the creativity of brain dead stroke victims. On the day the better side won.

The penalty incident was right in front of where me and strung out were standing and in all honesty it was as certain a penalty as I've ever seen. Referee had no option.

I thought it showed up where we struggle a bit - we dominate games but don't create enough chances which is frustrating. Hereford looked alright, played nice football but nothing at all up front. Can see why you're doing well at the moment.

Still, it's all about the final result especially in the cup so bring on Arsenal away (or Col U  )

Let's hope cardiff can get one over on the spuds.
Two months ago I would have been purring with confidence for that one, but now all we've got to rely on is the mighty Ninian roar.

Yeah we got that impression at the other end even though we couldnt really see what was going on. The way he blew up and pointed straight away made us think something pretty major had happened but then he didnt show a card.

Basically the keeper launched into one of those insane mid air lunges used only by people who aren't used to proper tackling but are used to throwing their bodies about (ie goalies). I was surprised he didn't get a yellow, it was a bit dangerous though not a sending off offence.

Richard Walker doesn't miss penalties :) He's scored in every Cup game so far, four in four games.

Ball number 19 in Monday's draw is us. This is the best bit of the Cup - when you're through and waiting to find out who you've got next.

It's if rather than when for us. We are always pisspoor against lower league teams, and have been shite this year anyway. Not at all confident of beating Brighton.

My wife works in Macclesfield and her work colleague and boyfriend from there are staying down here for the weekend. Just dropped them off at Walthamstow station so they can make their way to Stamford Bridge. Apparently, Maccs sold 4,900 tickets and Chelsea sold out the home tickets as well.... Maccs are putting on free coaches though.

THe Tamworth v Norwich game is on here now.

That's what makes the FA Cup cool, the fact that millions of people all around asia and the rest of the world sit and watch games played in scrappy non league stadiums.

I still say it's one of the most likely upsets, although Brighton beating us is also a distinct possibility, although that wouldn't really be an upset, we have been so crap.

Cup Run under way !!!

Stoke safely into the hat for the 4th round, this now constitutes a 'Cup Run' by our standards :D

were they full price or discounted do you know?

was saying to someone last night that if we were to get a Prem side then West Ham would be the best - in total disarray, low on confidence, temperamental prima donnas everywhere. Ripe for a giant killing :D

Yeah, if we beat Brighton first - and that's a big if at the moment.

Charlton are getting utterly pissed on. It's live on Dalian 4.

we totally controlled the game, they are without doubt the worst team I've seen us play against this season, if we sort out our league form then thats a fixture next season for sure, because there's no way that shower of shite was premiership standard.

4th round to look forward to now :)

Agreed, it could have been 4-0 to you at least easily.

... come on LFC, you're going to stuff arsenal!

COME THE FUCK ON!!!

well after that performance, it looks like we are doing the sitting down!!!!

nice to see the typical BBC showed only 2 glances towards the Kop anti-sun protest eh? despite 6 minutes of solidarity standing with 'The Truth' on full display

... terrible performance mind

I know it's not a video but looks like a penalty from that!

Just been looking at all the results and so far we're the lowest ranked side definitely in the fourth round!

Barnet's game with Col U was postponed and Posh and Chester have replays away from home against the Gargoyles and Ipswich respectively. That's it for our division.

Damn, we're going to have to get our giant killing boots on aren't we...

thought this deserved wider recognition, i watched it live and it was very powerful (have already posted in p&p but it doesnt seem to have been given the recognition it deserved in the mainstream press)

Liverpool supporters staged an impressive and passionate protest yesterday in their third round FA Cup tie against Arsenal. Holding aloft red and white letters reading 'The Truth' the fans also chanted 'Jutice for the 96' continually for the first 6 minutes of the game.

Ending in a wall of noise around the stadium with even the Arsenal fans joining in, the protest was aimed at former The Scum editor Kelvin Mckensie who recently re-iterated the lies the paper told about the Hillsborough disaster.

Liverpool lost 3-1, but there you go, you can't have it all.

imho, Barnet just pulled off the result of the round - beat Colchester United 2-1

Well done Bees :)
