FA Cup 2014/15

1909 - not seen the away figures yet but suspect we had more than half the crowd - they usually get low hundreds and I'd estimate maybe around 7-800 home fans.

Well, it's local-ish, nice part of the world, we'd not been there other than in pre-seasons... and yeah, we do have far more than the average number of fans at this level who despite everything love watching the Rovers :)

Neither can I, non-league is fucking shit :p

I spose we'll be seen as one of the banana skin clubs in the first round. Personally I'd like someone crap at home - everyone's going on about wanting c*ty at home but I don't like losing to them, so no thank you

Your level of non-league is better than the level of non-league I can go to! :D
As demonstrated by our result today :D Vast gulf between Conference National and Southern League Premier so lord knows what yours is like. Actually, is it equivalent to the Western League? I occasionally go watch Manor Farm so maybe I do know what it's like...

As stated, I'll take anyone shit at home please. If we HAVE to be away against a 'big' club then Sheff United or Portsmouth please. But really I want anyone shit at home, always the policy with me.

Games that could make local plod shit themselves: c*ty, Swindon and, erm, Wycombe. They're harmless trainspotters but there's been some serious beef building up with that lot and we feel they're owed more than one!

Draw is on Monday evening, 7pm. Hoping for Maidstone v Gillingham, maybe Eastleigh v Pompey so all the Eastleigh fans can wear the shirt of the team they all really support to wind up the opposition.

It also occurred to me today that I have now seen my lot play in SEVEN different rounds of the Cup - every one from the fourth qualifying round to the quarter final. And all in the space of six and a half years.

Couldn't go in the end to the game they called 'El Glosico' (groan), looks like it all went fairly smooth for FGR after the Glos equaliser, Norwood came on to get two (he's played for England C is it or whatever they call the non-league representative outfit)

Suddenly we're getting England C call ups, a side effect of becoming a big fish in a smaller pond. Couldn't give a monkey's meself.

No big club fan save perhaps Man City or Leeds will ever see their team play in the number of Cup rounds I've seen mine in!

Looks like Stockport v Chester had a proper crowd yesterday. Lots of County fans saying how nice it was to have an away follow of more than about 12 at Edgeley Park. Their equaliser was a screamer and it looks like it all got a bit tasty at the end.

Great work down the wing for Chester's third too.

I went there once with York City in the mid/late nineties when I was living up there. Long time ago.

Me and strung out went on a booze/drugs bender, kidnapped some Norwegian Man U fans from a Manchester pub to come and watch the Gas and ended up in Macclesfield cos we got on the wrong train after the game. Great days.

Mixed feelings about the first round. Chance to go to a League club and remind people that we're still alive. Otoh, it's a chance to have it brought home to us what we've lost. If we beat Crawley, I don't want to be called a 'giant killer' ffs

Mansfield Town v Concord Rangers
Gosport Borough v Colchester United
Yeovil Town v Crawley Town
York City v AFC Wimbledon
Walsall v Shrewsbury Town
Notts County v Accrington Stanley
Chorley or FC Halifax Town v Bradford City
Warrington Town v Exeter City
Eastleigh v Alfreton or Lincoln City
Basingstoke or Harrow Borough v Spennymoor Town or AFC Telford United
Dagenham and Redbridge v Tamworth or Southport
Weston-Super-Mare v Doncaster Rovers
Peterborough United v Carlisle United
Cheltenham Town v Swindon Town
Bromley v Dartford
Weymouth or Braintree Town v Chesterfield
Chelmsford City or Barnet v Wycombe Wanderers
Gillingham v Bristol City
Portsmouth v Aldershot
Norton or Shildon v Gateshead
Crewe Alexandra v Sheffield United
Grimsby Town v Oxford United
Tranmere Rovers v Bristol Rovers
Southend United v Chester FC
Luton Town v Newport County
Stevenage v Maidstone United
Bury v Nuneaton Town or Hemel Hempstead Town
Cambridge United v Fleetwood Town
Northampton Town v Rochdale
Eastbourne Borough or Dover Athletic v Morecambe
Port Vale v Franchise
Macclesfield Town or Wrexham v Woking
Plymouth Argyle v AFC Fylde
Barnsley v Burton Albion
Hartlepool United v East Thurrock United
Coventry City v Worcester City
Oldham Athletic v Leyton Orient
Canvey Island or Havant & Waterlooville v Preston North End
Blyth Spartans v Altrincham
Forest Green Rovers v Scunthorpe United

Hampshire derby between Pompey & Aldershot, possible West Riding derby between Halifax and Bradford. Rovers go to Tranmere, the tie I wanted (wrong venue mind). Swindon pop up the A419 to Cheltenham where the home fans will be as dull as they always are even in local derbies

Dorchester Town 1 Bristol Rovers 7 (SEVEN)

It actually was as easy as the scoreline and highlights suggest. We should have had ten

Our game should be a decent benchmark for where we are atm anyway. I reckon we wouldn't have gone down with the squad we have now so playing the 91st placed team should give us an idea.

Bury away is hardly a glamour tie for Hemel if it gets through to the First Round proper for the first time in its history. :(

Away to a former Cup winner is about as glamorous as it gets in this round
