FA cup 2010

Halifax v Wrexham and Chelmsford v Stevenage should both be great games in the 4th and final qualifying round.
R4 q is massive for non league clubs.

Not posting any more until after Tuesday's replay with Crawley and if we play like yesterday this could well be it..:(

But a Millwall away awaits the victors..:)

Many congrats to Paulton Rovers for reaching the first round for the first time ever and pulling out a plum tie to go with it :)

Some interesting games lined up, and possible games in the case of AFCW.

Just hope we can get past Woking at home.

And creating a hostage to fortune for City! :-)

Apparently their largest crowd was 2000 odd in 1906! We'd take at least that many away :) They may have to move it to Bath which would be a shame, but at least I'd have a chance of a ticket then...

:D:D

It's gonna go off when the Bushwackers run into the Staines Massive! I'll be boarding up my windows up here in Harrogate in case the trouble spreads.

shit, did anyone see that preston striker's miss just then? he put it over the bar from 2 yards out

In fairness to him, he was travelling at speed and the ball was always gonna land on top of his boot. Don't think that was quite the glaring miss people will make it out to be.

Still not great though ;)

It was unfortunate, but I've seen far worse misses, and Terry on the line can't have helped him.

Preston were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet though, although Chelsea deserved the win.

Some interesting matches there!

Southampton v Portsmouth .... SOUTHAMPTON AFTER REPLAY

Reading v West Bromwich Albion WBA TO ROMP HOME

Fulham v Notts County or Wigan Athletic FULHAM

Chelsea v Cardiff City CITY TO WIN REPLAY

Bolton Wanderers v Tottenham Hotspur or Leeds United SPURS AFTER ANOTHER REPLAY WITH BOLTON

Derby County v Birmingham City BRUM

Manchester City v Stoke City MAN CITY GIVE STOKE A HIDING

Wolverhampton Wanderers or Crystal Palace v Aston Villa VILLA BY A COUNTRY MILE

;)

I reckon it's already one of the best FA cups for ages (Cardiff City's heroic recent final excluded, of course!).

Chelsea v Cardiff City CITY TO WIN REPLAY

You Cardiff lot are the most deluded bunch of fan's I've EVER come across.

Chelsea will absolutely tonk you at Stamford Bridge :D

I'd happily take Chelsea on a -3 Handicap for that game all day and all night long.

We are on occasion touched by the Gods of outrageous fortune.

Sorry that you've never experienced this.

We have.

Its called optimism, a trip up the M4 would be pretty boring if we went fully expecting to lose.

Robert Louis Stevenson quotation, from Virginibus Puerisque, 1881:

"Little do ye know your own blessedness; for to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour."

Fortunately, we have tasted the joys of cup upsets in recent years (beating the team that was at the time top of the premiership (leeds), holding spurs and the gooners to a draw and .. of course... the little matter of getting to the final in 2008).

Palace meanwhile, seem to be happy with just roughing up the opposition on the pitch

Oh boy, Saints-Pompey better be televised. The whole of south Hampshire will stop for two hours.

Stoke were superb today, stuck to their game plan and stopped Arsenal playing the fantasy stuff they want to. And Matty Etherington looked class. Scuthorpe carved out some lovely-looking stuff too.
