FA Cup 2008

A few more games today. I hope Luton win or get a draw as they could do with the money to stop them going bust.

the big question for me this weekend is how to revive the cup? managers are sending out weakened teams and basically saying, together with some players, that they don't give a toss about it. the lack of interest on some of the fans forums i've looked at this weekend is also surprising, even for some non premier league teams who you think would welcome a cup run. can anything be done to bring its standing back to former glory?

"I don't think there's any question that the Rovers fans outnumber the home supporters at Craven Cottage."

Jesus christ Fulham fans are shit.

Like the ref at Ipswich V Portsmouth yesterday, sending off my arse. Completely ruined the game, although David James made some teriffic saves in the second half.

Arsenal have scored, thats all three away teams leading atm.

Luton - Liverpool is proving to be quite an exciting match again, although they're starting to slow down a bit now.

Come on luton, and come on newcastle beat hereford version 2..er i mean beat stoke..yeah you wont will you? You bunch of gutless cowards. (you can tell im angry with newcastle atm)

Talbot's slipping about like someone slipped something in his drink.

I hope they get back to passing the ball rather than hoofing it at the goal, because they were creating some great chances in the first half.

I love luton, the players anyway, 1-1 final score, taken liverpool to a replay. Luton deserve it, i thought theyd eserved a win. they betetr get their wages payed. This is why the fa cups great, as andy gray just said.

Now onto the big one..how much will newcastle lose by??:( We got a decent team out tho, lets hope owen scores a couple atleast. This has a nightmareish feel to it.

That was as good a nil-nil as I've seen in along time. Newcastle should sign Ricardo Fuller before the replay. That fat boy sub was great I haven't seen anyone with that build in a big game since Micky Quinn was waddling around.

Only saw the second half..Newcastle should be celebrating now,and buying Given his drinks.

dont you mean why the hell didnt they go to chasetown?
Yes I do actually. Sorry about that.

What happened to Damien Duff in the second half? I don't think he touched the ball once that I saw. Newcastle were totally out of shape, particularly in the middle of the park when neither Butt or Smith pushed up to support Viduka and Owen. As for Given, he should get the keys to the city because he's been the best keeper in the league for ages and yet stuck with them.

Also Burnley and their fans were truly inspirational. Their performance was what the FA Cup is all about.
