Did Webber really say "its a bit of a mickey mouse track here, isn't it" or did I miss-hear that?
Just make sure it doesn't happen again
Bottas makes a good team-mate for Hammy. He's a good number two driver, in the same way that Kimi works well enough for Ferrari and Vettel. Ocon would in no way respect a world champion's number one status, which would definitely push Hammy, at the expense of team esprit de corps. I'd like to see Bottas keep his seat - he comes over as a nice guy.
I agree with you, I'd just like to see how Lewis coped with some young risk taker alongside him. He started in McLaren alongside ex-world champion Alonso and it would be good to see him find himself in that same situation.
Can't remember the last time I saw frost, its 30degrees here today and not a cloud in the sky.
Right I'm off to the bar on the beach for lunch see you all tomorrow, well not all as poor Badgers has other commitments
There's still time for the Badgers wedding to be called off, Graduate-style.
It seems that Mark Webber really did say "its a bit of a mickey mouse track here, isn't it" during the post qualifying interviews, I bet that went down like a cup of cold sick with the organizers as it would have been played over the circuit PA system.
Anyway here is Teds Qualifying notebook where he confirms that Webber really said it
He’s right though. It’s rubbish.
I like Ted's ambling, rambling style and on-the-hoof interviews. He does know his stuff. I wonder if other TV stations have copied his Notebook presentations, in the same way that Martin Brundle's grid-walk has spawned a hundred copy-cats and made the pre-race grid a complete mess.
I am going to be able to see the race
Who called the wedding off?
Was it something unseemly involving groom and bridesmaids, or bride and vicar?
If so, you get to see the race and have the plot for a novel right there.
The wedding was shit yesterday but a family lunch was planned but cancelled today so heading home for the race. Watching on C4 today for big screen action
But do you say so to the crowd that had paid loads of money to see it, in front of the track owners and promoters, in front of the the sports owners and as many as 1 billion people watching on the telly
Sometimes is best to keep your opinion to yourself
Good morning all, so we are under starters orders for the final race of the season, I'd like to see Bottas win but I'm not sure he will be able to hold Lewis and Vettel back
If Hammy took Vettel out, Schumacher-style, and Botty went on to win, then Mercedes drivers would be one and two.
Okay, that's a long shot.
It would be funny
Today is the first race this season where I am watching on my own, my old lady and my youngest Son who still lives at home are both studying and no visitors (yet), the only downside is I can't crack a beer open yet, but I'll try and get one in before the end of the race or if Lewis does take Vettel out or he breakdowns
What the fuck is Force India thinking having their team wearing bobble-hats?
so chances of a big crash at the start
Getting excited. Hoping this is a decent one to sign the season off.
Including the drivers?
Don't want a crash but wouldn't mind if Vettel goes out on first lap
All fairly calm out there so far...
Some potentially good battles lined up at least.
replay the friggin move they whining about
Can't wait for the Hulks next radio message
has lance dad been throwing money at the commentary team of channel 4
Great racing when you think it is for 13th place
The Alonso v Massa scrap for 10th should be fun.
I have a feeling the team haven't told the Hulk, they'll wait until the pit stop, "Hulk, pit pit confirm, btw you have a 5 second penalty", reply "what, what! 5 seconds for what, fuck sake"
fell bad for hulk he going to be one of the driver to suffer most next year with the introduction of the halo
That could cost Renault $10 million in prize money, that may have been a very expensive mistake by the gun man
