F1 2010

In fariness he was quick and showed promise...maybe h could just do Rally Finland every year and run his F3 team.

If the Kimi stories are true, he'll not come back to F1 after a year.

I'll miss Raikonnen, one of sports richest men - but not afraid to still act like a grumpy teenager.

I'll miss him because he's a fucking good driver and an interesting personality. However it seems aside from the money McLaren had an issue with the number of personal sponsor appearances he'd do and his freedom to do some rallying.

Seems like he just didn't want to play the game any more but wanted top money. Shame.

Rumours of Kimi to Mercedes, which would be ace. As capable as they are- a team consisting of Rosberg and Heidfeld is hardly going to strike fear into the other teams.

Would be rather harsh on Heidfeld though, being passed over for Kimi for the 2nd time in his career.

Shame no sign of Kobayashi on that list tho - it might have been beginners bravado or something, but he was proper fighty and quick.

I took one look at his driving in his first GP and shouted 'give that man a drive'. So I was gutted when Toyota pulled out.

I have little understanding of the inner-workings of F1 (or the outer-workings :hmm: ) but this sounds fairly thin, at the moment at least. Reading the original Telegraph article, there's no direct quotes and the only actual reporting is of Schumacher being "sounded out" and "talks are understood to be at an early stage"... :hmm:

Still, would of course be bloody good  And red rose might have to once again review her self-imposed F1 exile :D

Great news...Sauber seems like a good guy. Wonde rif he'll go back to having the black cars again?!?

Looks like Renault is going to sell up to Prodrive, but will carry on supplying engines.

Also VW have put it about they are interested in becoming an engine supplier (maybe from 2012?) but never a team owner.

Manufacturer teams are going out of fashion quickly. I wonder how long Mercedes will last.

Don't these things generally go in cycles? Manufactureers ruling the roost for a while, then the garagistes being on top for a bit and so on...

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now hopefully that new pit complex can be built and sorted out as the circuit is a classic.

Pits etc is part of the deal. I also assume car parking , but are they going to sort out access ?
