Eyebrow threading

I am so gonna spend some time giving that a go tomorrow.

I am not convincd that I am going to be able to get it right with them being so fair and I ma a bit of wimp when doing something my self.
But its totally worth giving it a try.

Just watch you don't accidentally catch your eyelashes :hmm: It's dead easy after a few goes. I did a lady's 'tache at work today :D

I think there's a salon for afro hair.

Ah. You'd think there'd be one Asian one.

Oh well.

Nail bar? Maybe a hairdressing salon or nail bar can be persuaded to train someone up to do threading now it's getting popular.

There is an Asian one in a posher part of town, but they are the ones who told me £10! Nail bar is a good idea, I am going to my hairdressers/nail bar on Sat (for my hair, not my nails) and I might ask them/suggest it to them.

I had mine done for £3 in Tooting at the weekend. I went to Sajna and they were pretty good. Plus I bought myself a bargain sequinned bag at Primarni, like quimmy suggested. And some spices for my Indian cooking. And the best samosas I've ever had from Pooja Sweets. So a good time all round. :D

Just had a go following the you tube vid.

Well, baring in mind that I had done nothing to them for a couple of months and it was my first ever go, I don't think I did too bad.

I have had a thread, sat with tweezers and hand mirror for a while to get the shaping better and then back to the thread and so on for about an hour with breaks in between.

At the moment I can get the excess above and below the brow off but need to tweeze for shape.
They are so fair and fine though that I keep seeing bits that I have missed and I am sure the shape is not even on both sides.

Hopefully with more practice, once a week or so for a while it will get easier and I will not be starting with such a mess.

Cheers guys. Any more tips are always welcome.

I will give the tape a go in a moment. Oh and I managed to avoid any eyelash plucking so win there.

:)

I found a place in Fishponds called New Look who do it for £5, it's on the main road. I think I need to grow them out a bit first, as there is nothing for them to thread at the moment.

its really easy clair, if odd. ive got loads of thread. did spot some bits that needed tidying up as i was a bit scared to go too close to what i want to keep
