Modern Indie is shit, I left my last band in December and to be honest I've not seen anything recently that makes me go "Oh wow I really wanna join that band". I think if this carrys on I'll end up in a Classic Rock tribute band or something much as I said I never would. But everything sounds the same now.

Note - I like some arse, and see the reasons for the praise, but who ever gets up in the morning and thinks 'I fancy listening to Trout Mask Replica today...' or 'That Agharta always cheers me up, think I'll stick that on'?

Yeah I think it's metal bands like Mastodon who are making some of the more creative stuff at the moment. Fucking sad really when you think metal was once the refuge of the terminally unimaginative.
