I was going to go, is probably one of the best festivals in the world for my point of view considering who is playing and cost. Have a couple of 2nd generation serb girlfriends who go and you will have a blast though don't push the police... I guess like anyplace abroad though the police can pretty muchbeat you to within an inch of your life and they have this weird festival money thing which is all coins or was and becomes a reet pain in the ass...get one of them money tubes you had as a kid wear it round your neck and good for storing readymade cigs

Fucking mental - in both a good and bad way.
Took 20hrs to get there and 18hrs to get back (flight, train, waiting, taxi etc). Serbian trains are shit and border control are cunts, I got crushed to fuck on the first night and thought I might die. However, the weather was ridiculously hot, in the high 30s and everything was so cheap (20 fags 90p, pint 60p). So many Serbs and Hungarians speak good English, all I could say was 'thank you' There were LOADS of fit blokes everywhere which was nice. Oh and you can smoke on the train
I saw The Prodigy, Stanton Warriors, CSS, Beastie Boys (for 5 mins), Basement Jaxx, Ed Rush & MC RymeTyme, DJ Zinc & Friction + Dynamite MC, Richie Hawtin, some random techno (I am now a convert), some reggae etc. I heard Lauryn Hill, Groove Armada, Snoop Dog (lol) and LTJ Bukem. The festival was in a fortress across the river from the campsite and there was a mini stage on the beach, 2 mins walk from our tents, with lots of bars.
I was sober for most of the festival which felt fucking good, the music kept me going and then I took 1 pill on Sunday morning.....bad idea in the blazing heat.
I've taken 66 pics which I can't wait to get developped. I've also got a massive cut/gash on my hand caused by irresponsible gate climbing (not my idea). I'd go again next year but only via a different (i.e. less time consuming) route. I'm knackered but I had a good time

All the hassles I can look back at and laugh at really - I'll have a big scar to remind me that I went to a random dance music festival in Serbia
and border control forcing the door open and finding me in the toilet with my trousers undone whilst I swear at them in English is kind of funny now

I didn't actually see Lauryn Hill, heard her on the walk from the campsite to the festival. Apparently she was shit and she fucked around (being a diva?) for 1h30 delaying her act and all the ones after her.

It was far too crowded though (for Prodigy) - we kept getting crushed and there were loads of blokes trying it on. I had to wrench a bloke off my mate cos he kept touching her and cornering, I shoved him away from her and told him to stay away. The look of fear on her face and the stress almost made me burst into tears, same as when I went to the bar and got crushed (people at the back were pushing forward
) My bag strap got caught round my neck and was pulling, my chest was getting crushed - that night was pretty stressful. Thankfully only the Prodigy seemed to pull in such a huge fucking crowd so the rest of the festival was fine.

@ the random mateys did the Dance Arena go off?
The Dance Arena was fucking top, when it filled up it looked amazing - a proper sea of people raving. At one point the DJ asked everyone to sit down (which they did) and then stand up again (which they did) - was well funny
I really enjoyed the music there and the view of the crowds from above were unbelievable, especially with the sun coming up.
Btw - the showers were great! There must have been 40-50 showers and I queued for 5-10 minutes, sometimes less. This meant I could shower every day which was essential in that heat...
