Every Band You've Ever Seen

I went to a press party for the PS2 once and Jamaraqi came out and did a suprise gig.
I don't want to have to put that on ly list.

I have compiled lists for the last three years, mainly for the purposes of a yahoo group to which I subscribe and for which we all post our top ten gigs of the year.

I know .... it's sad, desperately sad. :o

ditto, except for me it was the Gumball Rally 2005 launch party.

I did see Blizzard of Oz at a festival a long long time ago. Full of acid, weed & cheap continental lager, Ozzy came ion as the Sun was going down on a warm summers day.I thought it was the best thing I had ever experinced and cried at the time.

drugs fuck you up, they do :(

Yep.

I shed a few tears one time at Phoenix while I was watching bis. Good God, I thought they were the future of music.

Drugs, eh?!

I think I've posted this before actually.

Memory, etc.

i lost all my pre-96 ticket stubs in an eviction so i can't remember off the top of my head, but i'd like to have a go... since then i've tried to keep as many as possible, but it really isn't that easy. i used to go to loads for free and you rarely get tickets when you're on the list. plus in these days of internet ticketry as well there are lots of occasions when you don't get em. i don't think i could remember every band i've seen this year, let alone ever...

Stopped abut aged 18
Used to go to a silly amount of gigs
Its sad really cos I have forgotten loads of gigs over the years
still try and keep tickets though

I don't think I could even list who I've seen this year, let alone since I started goign go to gigs.
It's sad really, I can't even bring to mind selected highlights. :(
Nevermind, at least I know I'm having fun!

music forum = mostly anally retentive bunch of trainspotters......but thats why I like it....:D

when I went to my parents home a couple of years ago I found a folder with tickets/programmes, and my own list which was starred according to how super ace the gig was.....at the time whitesnake (pre-big hair metal days when they were a good if uninspiring blues rock band) seemed to be winning.....my prepubescent mind must have found David Coverdales constant pretending that the mikestand was his huge cock very impressive.:o

hmm, i found a quick (?!) way of checking the last four years. it is by no means definitive but probably represents at least half of what i saw!

and then i got bored, have 64 pages of returned search to plough through....

i started, then i forgot about it, and havent been bothered since, i was seeing so many at one point.

though i aint been to any in 3 weeks cos all the local ones have been cancelled or postponed. bloody t.j's....

My first gig was in 1977 or 1978 ... either Steve Hillage and band, or Stiff Little Fingers (see, thats a great start!!, trying to remember between those two, which of them was first! :o )

Far too many over the subsequent 28/29 years, especially at festivals, to even begin to make any kind of list practical ...

i somtimes try to make this kind of list but got put of when i realised there has been more than 100 bands in the last year alone.

im generally to lazy to write anything if it involes over a hundred things though so this was no suprise to me

Hmm, will have to get onto this, but I can say initially:

First gig - Voice of the Beehive, 1986

Last gig - The Pipettes, about a month ago

Next gig - Muse, next week. :)

My mate rachel has a gig diary with every gig shes ever been into in it its huuge.
One of my cousins works out a set list for every gig hes been to and i reckon he has done it for all of em.

I really can't be arsed.

I would not be able to do that, I get too pissed. Dub asked me about the acoustic bit when I went to see The Lemonheads and I couldn't remember it.:o

First gig was Cliff Richard when I was about 8:o :o , last gig was Alabama 3 a couple of weeks ago. I am going to see the Scissor Sisters tonight and Basement Jaxx in a couple of weeks.

I used to get pissed at gigs, but it does kinda ruin it doesn't it? What's the point of going, if you don't remember, n that.

I'd love to see BJaxx actually...from what I've seen on the box, they're fuckin stompin live :D
