Everton 1 Liverpool 2 - as clear a rigged match as you're likely ever to see.

Laughable. Carragher pulled Lescott down on top of him.

The BlueScouse have every right to be very, very pissed off about this result. People need to be a bit more careful about using words like "rigged", though.

I don't think it was rigged. I think it's like Moyes says. Clattenburg has allowed himself to get too close to Liverpool and was just trying to impress his new 'friends', Stevie and Jamie.

TBH, the England try that turned out to not be a try reminded me again to not buy into the tv-encouraged view that you can trust tv images - no you can't.

Ref's decision is final, play to the whistle, don't complain, job done.

Breaking news on Sky Sports - Clattenburg not reffing next week.

The Gerrard foul was a red card and a penalty.

The first Lescot "foul" wasn't a foul.

The Kuyt yellow card was correct.

The Neville sending off was correct.

The Lescott dive in the last minute was not correct. It should have been a yellow card for diving.

So full of shit, he posted it twice.

It is not Laughable, Lescott was trying that the whole match, backing into people to win a penalty, he tried it with Finnan earlier, well done to the ref for not giving it.

All this from Everton is to try and distract attention away from a pathetic home performance, hoof the ball all day long, one shot on target the whole match.

"Mark Clattenburg, who was criticised for his handling of the Merseyside derby, will not referee a Premier League game this weekend. "

Proof he fucked up?

No, proof the world-class whinging from the Blueshite has had it's effect.

Um.. no, as would be obvious had you an ounce of sense. I dont mind banter between fans but anyone who thinks Lescott dived for the second appeal is an idiot, given how blatant it was.

Clattenburg gave one of the worst referreeing performances in recent memory, though sadly it seems all of his decisions not only seemed to favour one side, but also were caught on camera for all to see. I just hope the FA have the decency to publish his report on the match so we can see his perspective on things. Lets also hope that this match is the one that forces the FA to bring in replays available to the referee, as well.

It was a clear case of backing into a defender and them both falling over.

I thought, if anything the ref was biased towards everton, the amount of free kicks that seemed to be going your way in the second half.

Um, no. thats not true. to my (neutral) eye, carragher clearly wrestles him to the ground. as blatant a penalty as the handball before that.

At FA HQ.

FA Lackey: Bad news Mr Barwick sir. Everton are whinging about Clattenburg's performance on Saturday.

Barwick: Everton? Who are they?

FAL: They're a Premier League football side sir.

B: Are you sure?

FAL: Yes sir. They're one of those other teams. You know apart from your favourite four.

B: Oh I see. And they're whining about young Clattenburg, y'say?

FAL: Yes sir. They say he's got his nose so far up Steven Gerard's ars...

B: Thank you Lackey! Well this is serious. Make sure Clattenburg is suspended for the next game, Lackey. Can't have teams whinging, even if I have never heard of them...

I've just signed a petition to get Phil Neville's latest red card overturned. It truly was a bizarre decision by the referee. I love it when the Nevilles give away hilarious handballs against Liverpool that result in winning goals. You know what sport their sister plays don't you?

Anyway, is it true that this year's Merseyside Derby DVD release by Everton will be called "My toffees were robbed"?

As I said on the main RedThread, 3 points for the Reds, an eternity of whinging and excuses for the blues. Sleater's right - Everton hardly threatened, yet they were hard done by.

Clattenberg added to the list along with Poll, Thomas et al

I can't believe they managed to write a whole article on that statement.

Clutching at straws comes to mind with some media writer's these days.

Of course i'm sure there won't be any dodgy decisions for the rest of the season that go Everton's way in creating a goal that maybe should never have been. I'm sure Moyes won't be complaining when Yakubu net's when he is 3 yards offside, or Andy Johnson 'falls' in the box to earn yet another penalty.

to be honest though Larry, we should have won the game by at least 3 goals, then there wouldn't be so much bleating.

How do you work that out? One of the rules of football is that only chances that end up in the net count. If you don't have players who can put the ball in the net (Hyppia aside) you shouldn't have won anything.

I cite clear, measured evidence of exactly why Clattenberg was biased--and all you can do is come out with the above crap. You are neither honest, nor funny, but your attitude explains very well why you RS are hated. The joke is, nexct time one decision goes against you (never mind 4) and you'll be on here whining.

the above article from the Echo provides interesting detail on just why Clattenberg undoubtedly favoured the RS on Saturday.
No it does not, just a load of ifs.

And what about the team that had one shot on target the whole match, at home?.

What do you mean have to rely, one of the penalties was a hand ball on the line.

Yes, and one was a dive, which makes the scoreline at the end of the day 1-1.

I thought that debate came from having players who could pt the ball in the back of the net, let alone get them on target. If we scrub Hyypia's own goal, that would make it 1-0.

This is all a bit silly now don't you think.

Time to move on.

I notice my comments about Johnson constantly falling over in the penalty box have been brushed aside without comment.

Yes, because they arent worthy of further comment. At least since he has been with us, Johnson has been more sinned against than sinner - and he didnt put himself up as being someone who abhored such cheating, anyway.

Oh, obviously! That was why both of the Liverpool player's arms are clearly visible wrapped tightly around Lescott and preventing him from getting the ball??

I saw the Hibbert incident again later on Setanta LiverpoolTV, and even their own commentators were embarassed enough to say that a red card was too harsh a penalty.
