On the subject of DnB MC-ing.

I used to love Stevie Hyper-D (Comin' up for a chinese takeaway - class!)

But most are utter bollox.

Last time I was at a DnB event, a load of lads in shellsuits liberated the mic and did their own drunken chattin, without usung a single word....genuis!

I would say Puffy and certainly Dre are more feted for their production nous. Dre has been producing awesome beats for nearly 20 years but his MCing has never been that red hot. "The Chronic" is still an all time classic though.

i'm, also under the impression that ice cube wrote most of dres rhymes in NWA and knocturnal has wrtitten a lot of them since(certainly 2001 along with royce da 5"9((quality quality mc!!)) and a few others). And you can't be an mc if someone else writes your rhymes.
