Nah, flat packs are the kindergarten...the real joy is when you put stuff in your first completely self-made piece and it doesn't fall to bits/creak alarmingly/bend...flat pack=good and convenient, but if you've got space, a work bench, some wood and some tools making stuff yourself is great...

Interstingly I bought another smaller unit for £15 unit, assembled that, then one of the dowels supporting a shelf broke in half. I salvaged a dowel from the previous 'multimedia unit', and saved the day.



Ikea may be better, but Argos is a 5 minute walk away.
