Even The Brits Have Drug-War Loonies???

I wouldn't stick my oar in on this normally, but this is actually quite interesting. Me and Nino have been slagging each other off for ages on these boards, sometimes quite seriously. But on Saturday, at the PROD, I met Jezza, who's a great bloke, and he said Nino is a great bloke too, and you know what? All my desire to attack Nino (purely retaliatory of course) just evaporated. Its a weird thing, the internet, you can get some very odd, very inaccurate impressions from it. No reason not to have a flame-war, naturally, but just remember that the person you're flaming is *not* the same person as the real person. Anyway, I enjoy watching them as much as the next man, so as you were...
yup, good to meet you at PRoD. apols if I was none too coherent, but I was v pissed, and intent on dancing like a loon to that EW&F track they played :o

Hehehehehe.

Those were a loverly few home-made frozen strawberry daquiris llast night (and wee bit of pure temple ball :D ).

So....

Why am I a criminal toby?

Most people seem to like me well enough?

I don't hurt people. I go out of my way to be a part of my village, community, city, region and society - as well as cooncerning myself with conundrums well beyond my local domain.

It's only some stupid fucking govts. that want to rip apart my family, friends and community, destroy my existance and incarcerate me.

:(

Toby?

Why toby?

Why am I such a criminal as to be incarcerated?

Tobes?

I'm coming late to this one, but I reckon this from agent sparrow sums up my thoughts on it quite well

So basically I think you can be pro-cannabis/legalisation, and still see it as a substance to be treated with care and as one that can act as a trigger of psychotic breakdown in a minority of people. In fact I think its a much better way of approaching the subject than the "it can't cause any harm at all" approach.

while it may well be true that canabis hasn't actually killed anyone, the concept that it is an entirely benign substance is bollocks, and potentially harmful bollocks as this is the message that loads of kids take on board when starting smoking it. Yes loads of people can happily toke for years without really noticing any major negative effects, but then there are loads of people who do suffer negative effects (often fairly mild, but still negative) and a few where it tips them over the edge psycologically. I don't need any research papers to tell me this is the case (and probably wouldn't trust most of them anyway) I know it to be true from the number of people I know who've given up / drastically cut down on the amount they're smoking due to the negative effects it was having on them, and their comments on how much better they're feeling for doing this... as well as my own personal experience which never amounted to much more than realising that the amount I was smoking was seriously affecting my ability to get things done.

Having said that I don't think it should be illegal, and think that the most harmful effects of weed on people is the illegality of it, criminal records etc.

In the grand scheme of things it's relatively harmless, but it ain't as benign as some would make out.

and that's my considered opinion on the matter, take it as you will... fs

How odd that Angela never referred to herself as Dr. Angela.....you know.........being a psychotherapist, and all.

I take it you know nothing about psychotherapy then, Mr "Shaman" (are you a real shaman? I don't think so)
