WTF? THere were Jews in Transjordan you know. They stuck to there religion and did not convert to Islam all over Arabia. Whats you point?

So you mean that palestine was originally an, er, jewish state?

There has never been a civilization or a nation referred to as "Palestine" and the very notion of a "Palestinian Arab nation" having ancient attachments to the Holy Land going back to time immemorial is one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated upon the world! There is not, nor has there ever been, a distinct "Palestinian" culture or language. Further, there has never been a Palestinian state governed BY Arab Palestinians in history, nor was there ever a serious Arab-Palestinian national movement until 1964.

Palestine in history was just a loose geo-political area in which, and across which Jews, Christians and later, Muslims moved and wandered. The 'Palestinian Arab' is very much a twentieth century phenomenon.

That is clearly a metaphor read with the whole of the chapter. The sword is the word of God. But dont let me stop you mocking.
Is this bit metaphorical too?

"He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." - Matthew - 10:37

Written 250 years BEFORE Christ.
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:17-20

I so love the way anything inconvenient in the bible is a metaphor... and, of course, we're sure the chosen Gospels were the accurate ones...

:D

the bible is a metaphor tho

it's an important book same as a greek tragedies because they show that even 1000s of years ago the same shit went down and people acted the same way

i hate the fact that hezballah has become freedom fighters just cos they decided to fuck with israel. people conveniently forget that they are an organisation commited to implementing religious ideas through the use of power

Actually, I think they started out as a group dedicated to driving Israel out of Lebanon during the first occupation.

Jesus said 'love thy neighbour' didnt he?
Moses in the Torah (Pentateuch/Old Testament) recorded the command "Love your neighbor as your self." (Leviticus 19:18) as the word directly received from G0D.

Hezbollah, has done a lot for the people of Lebanon, it provides social services and a voice for the displaced and imprisonedPalestinians. It's not really a terrorist group, rather a resistance movement.
Although they don't like homosexuality, hezbollahs attitude towards women is fairly western.......... what I'm trying to say is their not demonic, rather, they sound like the only people in the world who are trying to kick the occupying army out of Palestine and bring lasting peace to the region.
Jesus would surely have been on their side, what do you think?

Jesus was a jew. When those katyusha rockets fired from Lebanon destroyed Nazareth, he'd have signed up to become an Apache pilot.

Come to think of it, Jesus was circumcised. Nuff said!

Nah some how I cannot see JC saying unto the multitude become a suicide bomber & doth go into the Jewish community centre & doth explode thyself & killeth as many as thou can..

Does not fit in with the whole peace & love ethos of the man.
