It's still quite balanced though, if you stay in 0.5 sec or above space you're pretty safe but if you go below that (where all the lucrative mining and dodgy deals happen) then the danger increases.
Bit like real life, play it safe and you'll do alright but you'll never make any real money or take risks and venture into unknown territory and you may make it or die/lose everything in the process.

CCP (the nice people who run Eve) have kindly agreed to unfreeze my character, even though he's been out of action for 2 years... very lucky as support says the character is only kept for 6 months after you stop.

Handy as he has about 8 months of skill training, and connections with various corporations & alliances. Starting again from scratch with a civvie blaster and rookie ship didn't appeal, not when I'd just gotten used to flying a megathron

Wouldya believe it, a few of my old corpmates are still playing, two years on
