Cos pop music isn't always about overall aceness it's sometimes about that goosebump moment when something HAPPENS and you go apeshit.

2.13 in this although I advise you listen to the lot

and I'm having a nag that someone's done this sort of thread recently but I can't find it cos pissed

Thanks for the Kitchens of Distinction remembrance. That track just shows where shoegazing came from. Bizarrely they've just reformed ! There's another album out shock! Here's the Bowiesque single

Edited to add euphoric moment. The opening of Ride's Daydream->
Sadly most of the subsequent records failed to live up to this :(

Just got goosebumps and started to cry on an almost empty bus to work at "she nervously undressed/in the dancing beams of the Fidra lighthouse..." :D

ETA: fixed spelling of Fidra because my phone doesn't trust me to know what I'm typing.

Rediscovered that album the other day. Still love it

Richard Hawley, Don't Stare At the Sun, guitar solo live. As good if not better than any rush I've had on ecstasy. The dying notes almost made me cry.

Yeah, I know it's Fidra lol. Damn autocarrot.

Me and a friend visited North Berwick to see it one night. Had a pint in the pub where Fish wrote it. It wasn't on the jukey.
