I like Etnies becuase I want grey trainers and can't find grey anywhere – why do most manufacturers assume women only like wearing white or pink trainers?

Having said that, I've got my eye on these, with pink trim:

Although they're quite nice in white as well... don't know if I'm a white-trainer type though. Too much upkeep.

Nope - Streatham, but my girlfriend's parents do, so I pop in every so often. In fact, i'll be there Monday buying some new trainers

Converse are own by Nike though, so a fair few people have stopped buying them. Plus, I don't want to look like a Strokes fan

I only use etnies because they're comfortable and durable for riding. However my latest pair now have a hole in them, and I've only had them since September. I am very disappointed. Previous etnies would last a year before they even came close to being so tatty that they had to be thrown away. Perhaps the next pair will last longer. Otherwise I'm switching to more reliable trainers.
