Met a Barnsley fan for lunch yesterday - he mentioned that Brentford were sniffing about for ca. £5m !!!

Shame the sell on clause doesn't flow through in perpetuity....

I'm just gobsmacked that Brentford can think about paying £5m for anyone.

Didn’t they just sell someone for 12m? Centre back to Bournemouth...?

Would he be u23 eligible? And thus London Senior Cup eligible?!
Surely Brentford just need to dangle that carrot and he’ll sign in a flash!

No idea. Bournemouth paying £12m for a lower league defender is mind-boggling too.

He's 25, but Brentford B is an open-age reserve team not an under 23 development team, so I can't see why they couldn't play him if they sign him and it suits them to give him game time. Hope they don't though, we have enough difficulty scoring goals against National South defenders.

We struggle to beat Step 5 teams in the semi-final of the LSC, let alone a Brentford B team with Ethan Pinnock!

I think Ethan would do the decent thing #LetUsScore.

Mepham is a full international and is still only 21. Brentford are all about buying young, developing & selling on for a profit. Not sure they have ever paid £5m for anyone to date - and 25 may be a bit too old to fit the business model?
