One thing that is definitely true is that through embarrassment and shame that many feel, 'escorts' and other sex workers often paint a brighter picture of their lives to the press / media than they do to their counsellors.
Any stories of easy money should be taken with a very large pinch of salt unless a woman is very young and extremely beautiful, both of these qualities are, of course, subject to change over time.
