'enthusiastic' scientists

Nah, they're just not sensitive enough, or we're looking in the wrong way, or the theory is wrong.

So all the people here complaining know the ins and outs of quantum physics? Bollocks.

I thought it was a great programme and the beeb done a good job explaining the whole thing, especially the effect space time has. How can you show that in a graph or equation that's gonna make sense?

I thought it was OK, decent enough to show my first years in class today. It did however lead one of them to enquire if I was related to the presenter mind, presumably based on the fact we have a similar hairstyle

it pisses me off how often they either just repeat the same thing or just say it in a differant way, they could say the same thing in 10 minutes as the whole hour does and then they could move on to other interesting things or go into more detail it does get annoying always being treated as thick (even if the majority of the population needs all this layman terms crap)

I have a suspicion that part of the reason for this is that the show sells in the US. They have to make room for ad breaks (which are sometimes painfully obvious) and, in the modern, multi-channel, attention-deficient world, they have to recap often to help people who drop into the programme half way through to catch up.

As someone who remembers the show in its 70s and 80s heyday, it really pisses me off.

I'm afraid I stopped watching regularly a few years ago when it seemed that every episode was aimed solely at demonstrating novel methods by which the end of the world might come about. :(
