Bit what about the penalty Poll missed, for handball? And that one he missed for a rugby style challenge by a Croatian in the area?

The ref in the Holland Ivory Coast game completely ruined the second half, stop start the whole time, was suckered for the freekick from which Van Persie scored -- in fact was suckered by Holland, Europe's worst divers, throughout. Then he missed the most vicious tackle of the WC so far, which should have Cisséd Boka -- should have been straight red, you're going home.

Thinking about it, Poll did have a bit of a nightmare. But if you take the 3 yellows away, you're left with a pretty average performance for this WC.

Embittered, sneering, contemptuous hatred. It's been going on for a while. I'm nowhere near fault free myself, but hatred to that degree is totally unnecessary in the bigger scheme of things.

Most people I know whether here and elsewhere (ie real life, NOT Urban) manage to jog along with me tolerably enough, and find me just a BIT more likeable than in Donna's lovely tribute above. They know my weak points and see those in perspective, rather than relentlessly focussing only on the negative and ignoring everything else.
