It won't happen. If they're fit they'll play.newharper said:Noo-one, sending them back to their counties would both be good for team morale and give them a chance to hit some form without really damaging Englands chances of winning the series.

The commentators were saying that Harmison had his wrist to one side of the ball with the seam pointed towards the slips instead of seam up and wrist behind the ball.mattie said:What's all this talk of Harmison's wrist position? Apparently that's what's letting him down. Surprised it couldn't be fixed in the nets.
How on Earth can you know? The Windies looked to be going quite well when they were on, but they could easily have come under pressure, especially as Plunkett and Harmison were looking better (not hard admittedly).mrkikiet said:the weather saved a day of nothing and permitted the finest selection of poetry ever pulished on the internet on the guardian o-b-o, which has to be a good thing.
Yeah but nothing will happen with the players in the pavilion. As I said, in what little play there was, the Windies were going quite well (at about 4/over in fact); if that had gone on for a bit more time, anything could have happened.mrkikiet said:i can't know, but i can speculate based on evidence, from this test match and from previous first tests of the series at lords and come to a conclusion from that, which is what i did.
