Name one, other than yourself. It seems most people nowadays accept that Flintoff is pretty ordinary.

Agreed. He's always been a bowling allrounder – his batting technique against spinners has always been particularly painful to watch. He's about as far from ordinary as a bowler can get.
Never really rated him as a batsman mind.
So you're an Aussie are you? Remind me what happened in the last ODI series England played in Australia, I seem to have forgotten. The ODI record has been improving a bit recently, even as the test side has been going down the swanee.I know plenty about cricket, thanks. Flintoff is overrated, and England are shit at both T20 and ODIs. Only one of those is remotely controversial, and even then not much. It seems most people nowadays accept that Flintoff is pretty ordinary.

You're South African and you're accusing England of being crap in ODIs? The team who beat South Africa 4-0 in the ODI series last Summer? If so, what does that say about the Proteas? England are inconsistent yes, but hardly that bad.South African.
As for Freddie: Here's one. I suppose it's just my impression that more and more people are saying that Flintoff actually isn't that good.
Check out his recent record sometime. Not even close to the record of a top bowler. And don't get me started on his "batting"...
Disclaimer: He can be, and has been in the past, absolutely brilliant. He's not so nearly often enough however.
By 'good' does he mean liable to produce a decent game, or be flat as a pancake for five days and produce 1500 runs and 11 wickets?Toss in ten minutes. According to Botham, the pitch looks as though it should be a pretty good test pitch.
Given that the Windies have won the toss and will bowl, I would assume the former.By 'good' does he mean liable to produce a decent game, or be flat as a pancake for five days and produce 1500 runs and 11 wickets?
Huh.Given that the Windies have won the toss and will bowl, I would assume the former.
Collingwood and Bopara may find themselves in demand for their bowling.Joy! Another test to be played on a slow pitch. Oh to be in Perth!
And Brendan Nash with mid-off and mid-on back. What a treat that will be. Strauss begins the procession with a loose shot.Collingwood and Bopara may find themselves in demand for their bowling.

First over after lunch, batsmen need to settle again, chance for a quick wicket... so Gayle sends Nash in to bowl. Genius.Dibbly-dobbly bowling right after lunch.

Nah, he was shit at that an all![]()
Aye, but atleast it wont affect us.
