I don't often agree with Ian Chappell, but this is spot on. The Zimbabwe fudge coupled with the ludicrous decision over the Oval Test shows the ICC up to be a cowardly, self interested group obsessed with money rather than the good of the game. It makes me so fed up with cricket politics

Pakistan refused to play on - that is a forfeit, not a 'unique set of circumstances'
Zimbabwe deserve to be thrown out for the corruption of their board and the blatant political interference in the game there, never mind the wider situation in the country.

What shite this is. I disagree with the abandonment of the ICC Champions Trophy as well - international cricket needs to be played in Pakistan now more than ever.

no-one wants to play there and I don't blame them. Why should players put themselves at risk. It's not their job to play politics.

Until the country's safe Pakistan should be forced to play all matches away from home.
