From what I saw (most of the first half) the whole team don't seem to know the rules, they gave away pen after pen and looked utterly clueless.

Not sure what Johnson can do if his side don't even understand the basics.

Actually, the staccato refereeing disrupted the All Black's flow more than England's performance, which didn't have much flow to begin with.

And Dan Carter didn't exploit the penalties as much as he usually does.

On balance, I think both sides would prefer to have seen a bit less intervention.
