Just thinking about the scoreline and games where there is a massive gulf in class... Scotland and England's victories were pretty emphatic. However you don't seem to get much more than a 6 or 7 goal margin nowadays, even when the difference in standard is as big as it was at the weekend.

Seem to remember reading footie books as a nipper and that the biggest ever (UK) victory was (Some Scots team) 36 v Bon Accord 0. Biggest victory in England was something like 24 - 0 for somebody or other. How did that work then? The Scottish one must have involved goals every 2 minutes 45 seconds or so (in fact a lot less with all the restarts). Kick off - pass - dribble - goal. Basically, Bon Accord hardly ever touching the ball for 90 minutes. Why ain't it like that now (when somebody like Brazil plays some minow)?
