England tour of India

Winter tours haven't been on terrestrial for donkey's years, one of the things Sky should be applauded for.

I don't know what I am taking about, just in a bad mood really, just ignore me.

Assuming we get three days in, I still think we have a good chance here. Runs on the board (300+ would be nice) some reverse swing for Munaf which will suit Hoggy and Fred when they come to bowl. If we can get Dravid out early who knows.

Ever the optimist like..

I agree. But if Munaf can trouble our chaps, I'd venture that Fred and Hoggy will be effective too. Yuvraj is good, but there's no Kaif of VVS this time to sure up the batting.

Just a gut feeling.

300 all out

India 18 for no wicket..

Result still possible - very much so..

think we`ll see a big innings from the Indians........they won`t be hanging around either....4 or 5 an over

I am IT Botham and I claim £5 from myself.

Well thanks Rahul; I guess the gamble that England were in disarray looked tempting, but it sounds like the batting finally displayed the patience needed.

Obviously very early doors, but if this ramshackle collection were able to square the series, ... ok ok, so it's not likely given the bowling 'attack' it would be a triumph.

Still, all told, given the circumstances, a very good day for England.

Been a great game so far, almost a textbook Test Match. England firmly in control but India still have a reasonable chance of scoring a draw or going for a successful run chase on Friday.

India are playing very defensively. They don't need to win the match, so they might as well make it hard to make runs.

India 100 all out off 45 overs. Amazing. First win on Indian soil in over 20 years, a tied series and all with key men out. This is looking very, very good for taking it to the Aussies next year.

There is a the one dayers & a long summer of cricket before the winter Ashes tests & I fear burn out & injury to key players.
