Womens' football is so much better than mens', no childish fighting and foul mouthed abuse. When the girls get knocked over they get up and carry on, none of this faking injuries bollocks.

Aye but you still get some frightening hairstyles in the women's game. :p

Did anyone see Kelly Smith's goal against the Czech Republic? It was unbelievable. If she can prove her fitness I'd really like to see Arsene draft her into the men's squad for some of our pre-season friendlies.

You missed out the :p

It was pretty spectacular!

But I fancy it wouldn't have had a chance against a male keeper

and it's all over for england. just didn't look like scoring i didn't think, didn't get to see their goal but was it a foul on the keeper?
No it wasn't a foul. Sorry to see that the silly and obvious bias of english commentators transfering over to the women's game. The striker stood there and the keeper had no idea what to do. The comment that the striker lifted here arms and therefore it was a foul was a joke. To be fair the secondary commentator on the game said the same thing. The strikers are not obliged to politely step out of the way you know.
Not bad game overall but the idea that any of those players could survive even at semi-professional level is misplaced I'm afraid.

One thing I've noticed is that when women players are booked they don't give any lip to the ref, they just get on with it. I don't see any women diving either, nor do I see any of that finger wagging shit that you get Latin male footballers doing to the ref.

And - surprise surprise - our under 20s lost on penalties...

I was quite impressed with the performance in the Toulon Tournament (didnt we eve fail to qualify the last time?)

As for the womens game, Sweden and Germany were particularly impressive, but still not great

England looked lightyears behind, maybe due to the fact the sport isn't taken as seriously in this country

I know a life-long Milwall supporter who is football mad and he says he really enjoys women's football because it reminds him of the glory days of football in the 50s and 60s.

Aye, no prima donnas in the women's game. That's what makes it refreshing.
