England football hoolie program on now!

I was quite suprised at just how much trouble there was, the press only reported minor scuffles, some of them didn't look that minor to me. This sort of thing happens the length and breadth of the country in towns every night, these people are fucking oxygen thieves, macho wankers who feel the need to fight and run around sounding like a gorilla to assert their machoness to themselves. Granted every country has hooligans and trouble at football but does every country have the same drink culture as us? drink as much as you can then go and beat someone up for fun. I hate being English when i'm abroad cause of people like in this programe abusing the citizens of that country and just being general all round cunts.

"When drunk" lol - interesting qualification there mate. Does alcohol really make people xenophobic? How many pints does it take before a non-xenophobe starts abusing someone who looks vaguely Turkish?

Monkey see monkey do. Football is the most tribal of sports. You only have to look at some of the xenophobic bile from the ABE's :p

Most people's view of the World Cup in Germany was of a fan fest...

Exactly right. I was there for the first couple of weeks and we had a brilliant time. Granted, we didn't stay where England were playing, only travelling in on match days, but we didn't see a chair/bottle/punch thrown. Watching the programme last night was embarrassing, but apart from the Frankfurt footage, none of the people involved were "lads" - just pissed up wankers in England shirts with 'Beckham 7' on the back, thinking they're hard. That lad in the baseball cap who was bullying the Brazilians in Nuremberg would have had a slap off most decent English lads for being such a prick. Notice how when the Brazilian lad actually called him on, he suddenly remembered the camera was there? Priceless.

If I ever got up to that podium in Nuremberg where Hitler did his speeches I'd be tempted to give it a quick impression!:D

No surprises in this programme, theres still plenty of wankers follow England, and you only have to go to a British town centre on a Saturday night to see what twats we can be.

One of the idiots giving the Nazi salute used the worng hand. :D

one of the saddest sights for me was the kids who had obviously been taken by their dads and were right in the thick of it being encouraged to join in with all the provocation , what chance do they have to grow up any other way than the same ..... sickening stuff:mad:

They were only singing "Ten German Bombers", it's not that bad. Kids have been singing taht for years.

no not just that , there was some twat with his young lad on his shoulders right at the front of a gang of idiots taunting some Brazillian fella with what looked like a cornerflag , I dont think the poor guy new what was going on , or if he did he was brave or foolish , in the end some twat nicked his Braz flag and burnt it .

I can understand the hoolie thing having been through it myself many years ago but not the unprovocated nastiness to people who obviously were not interested in the confrontation , hoolie versus hoolie is just a fact of life , but as someone else pointed out tipping beer over a German girls head , beating up a Tunisian who had lost his glassses because they thought he was Turkish , taunting the Brazillian guy and others who just were trying to join in with the fans and getting a kicking for their trouble , back in the day it wouldnt have happened (unless I have got my Claret and Blue tinted glasses on)

That sounds like an apology to me Harold.

There's nothing inherantly more tribal about football than any other sport.

But it is a bit like calling your host a c*nt; and demonstrates Ingurland's nostalgia for a more glorious military past (even though Britain were shit in WW2 and it was won by the Russian Red Army and the Yanks - but that's another thread). ;)

Of course there is , what other sport does a child choose a team when they are 5 or 6 and stay with until they die , usually in the footsteps of their dad , regardless of success or failure ?

Rugby, Cricket etc etc. In fact most team sports

Did you see that vid of the Poles versus the Germans in a field? That was bonkers. They should turn that into a tv prog - maybe a hooligan World Cup. :)

I'd buy the DVD :D

sorry I edited the post before I saw this reply , but I generally stand by the statement that football is far more tribal than other team sports , maybe its the shear numbers of supporters or the fact that they are largely drawn form the working class ( or they used to be :( ) who are more prone to be involved in the violent side of support.

Ps any sport where you stop to have tea is unlikely to create the same passion amongst its supporters

it was weird , I`ve always been a bit sceptical about these so called pre-arranged battles and thought it was probably in the imagination of the media , trust the Germans to get things so organised :D

No need. Just have a look on You Tube, there's loads on there. Including the video they showed last night (which is Poles v Poles I think, no squareheads involved).

lol.

And it's ideal for all those people who say: "they should just stick 'em in a field somewhere and let them sort it out". :)

A lot of Polish lads are hard as nails.

Dutch have been doing it for years. In the late 90's there was a massive fight between Ajax & Feyenoord. At a major motorway junction between Amsterdam & Roterdam. Which left one dead & many injured, as well as snarling up the Dutch motorway network.

yeah i seem to remember that , where would Football hooliganism be without motorway service stations eh ? they were always the hotspots here too northerners/midlanders coming down , Londoners going up, meeting unarranged , up and down the M1 . I`m sad to admit it but it does make me smile at the memory.

If loads of people want to have a massive ruck in a random field somewhere thats fine by me.

I thought the programme was a bit shit, like. OK so there were a few known faces but not that many. I reckon if there'd been a number of boys then it'd have gone off properly. What we saw, mostly, was our very own exported "yob culture", as the presenter said you can see this behaviour up and down England every Friday/Saturday night. Beer over women (bloke should have been served up proper) slapping a Tunisian because he's Turkish? You couldn't make it up, and that cu*t with a stick having a go at the Brazilian what a mug, fair play to the Brazilian who stood his grounda bit. To be honest it was a bit shit. Oh well...the season starts (for me) tomorrow hooray.

Got to agree with you dragonwolf, it more embarasing then anything.. found myself cringing as I watched. Realised why I stopped going to England away games. Half hoping that the Brazilian would turn round & give the twat in the burberry baseball cap a slap, I would have cheered. Christ my fellow countrymen can be a bunch of total knobs..:(

It's even worse when your own club's got more than it's fair share of the chavcu*ts. Fair play tho' they often get pulled up sharpish by some of our lads. Ah well.
