England Cricket 2019

Longer Gale stays in the better - other batsmen getting annoyed with him. He's damaging their strike-rate the same as he did in the first game.
Not watching. Is he a bit of an Inzi nowadays?

Always used to wonder what Inzaman's 'real' average was, taking into account all the runs his batting partners didn't get.

At least Inzi ran people out hilariously. He is just turning his back on any singles at all. He's on 49 off 60 now, saved by 3 6s off mooen - you need at least 100 strike rate to keep a place there i think. The run rate is about 4 and a bit. First match he cost them about 30 runs. This sort of game about team strike rate - scoring century is meaningless in itself if those runs could be made by others quicker.

That's the thing - not taking those singles is a gamble that he will put on 50+ in say 20 balls later. If he's out then the gamble is lost and windies are having to drag a low low run rate up to just reach potentially acceptable.

Anyone got a reliable stream for this? Had one on cricfree but it was 'main event' and they just switched to football.

got to see a couple of overs of Mark Wood at least. Carrying over speed and accuracy from the test. Great stuff.

Hetmyer's going bananas.

Did Bumble just say "that's the first front foot no ball England have bowled in 3 years"?

Found a stream. Yes he did. It won't be the first one bowled of course, just the first one called.

Great stuff from Hetmyer. Re Gayle, would he get into the England team? I don't think he'd even be close. Presumably he's also a shit fielder nowadays as well.

Oops. Stokes reviews a thick edge behind. Not clever. Then Curran gets a stinker of an lbw. Bad from England. Terrible from the ump. Moeen, over to you!

Awesome from Buttler but any bowler is going to feel for Sheldon Cottrell a bit. That's a long, long, session he's had. :D

Playing like this, I can't see any other winner of the WC, except that England still occasionally throw in a clueless performance out of nowhere like the last match. If they can avoid those, surely the WC will be theirs.
