Engine warning light, suggestions?

have you ever pull the battery out and left it for 5 to 10 minutes and see if that knocks off the light


have an 1.4 16v astra g about 15 years old and after being a twat at a set of lights messing with a range rover i managed to red line the car and the engine management light came on..

pulled the battery left it a while and the lights not come back on

I'll try that. In the past though the light goes off but comes on again.

would indicate that their is an underlying fault.

you services it recently , coils , plugs and maybe the ERG might be cause problems

or if its over heated you could of fried the ecu..

if thats happened time for a new car

Good point about the service. One thing I've done is kept it serviced. It's got a full service history from new. Don't think it's ever been overheated.
