aw - i've had ideas but that's as far as it's gone..... :o i was just wondering how easy it would be....just in case like...

take no notice of me..

can you (or anyone else) post up a useful kit-list for this please. ie, things you mustn't forget. i'm not a seasoned festie go-er and need this info (before i bring my whole summer wardrobe and a pair of wellies). :D

Essentials:

Tent
Air mattress
(Pillow)
sleeping bag
small towel
wellies
couple of warm layers + hat

Other clothes and things...

How much stuff to bring? Depends if you've got your own car or not. Usually, I'm getting there on public transport so want to keep the weight down as I'll be hauling it all over my home town at one end and fields at the other. This place looks like the camping bit's near the car-park so that's maybe not such an issue.

I usually try and keep it down to:

Tent.
Air mattress.
4 or 5 changes of clothes that'll do for sun and rain.
A hat to keep the sun off.
Lots of socks.
Decent pair of waterproof boots.
Plastic bags to put in the boots to make totally sure they're waterproof.
Own supply of cheap beer / spirits for drinking at the tent and cutting down on overpriced festival booze.
Towel.
Toothbrush, toothpaste.
Sunblock.
Bog roll and some of that dry hand-wash stuff you get from Boots / camping shops - makes eating with your hands after visiting festival bogs a less life-threatening experience.

Nothing nickable (camera, stereo etc). I stick my wallet in my sleeping bag before I crash out (been robbed twice at festivals).

That's about it for me. I'm always pretty impressed by people that bring their own stoves and do all their cooking and stuff. Must be loads cheaper but also must be a sod to lug all over half of the countryside.

Bet you a tenner she doesn't come.

:D

I probably won't cos of the money like  ...I'm planning to go on a walking/beach hol to the Gower Peninsula with my bezzer and even that's going to be stretching things a bit, so yeah it's unlikely, but I thought I might as well ask about the shower...it would have been far easier to make it a definite NO if there was no chance of a wash. :D

EnDorset definitely appeals more than any of the others though. :hmm:
