Yeah should be ok wrysmile :)

I think it would just get baffling if lots of people brought different bottles.

I just stick to one kind as well.

I have a bottle of mezcal con gusano to bring so if anyone doesn't fancy cocktails I have a much simpler way of getting completly twatted :D

No - I can get cups. Pound shops sell a stack of 30 for a quid :)

Termite Man. Tequila and Cointreau - all you need is ice, a little salt and lots of limes

Or you can have Tequila and Cointreau, a little lime, and cranberry juice for one of my favourite drinks - the Cosmoquila.

I might try and bring some cocktail nibbles, I understand that many people will not want anything to soak up the alcohol, but that just means there will be more for the rest of us. Unless they get eaten on the train down there.

Ms Idaho is intent on bringing snacks too. Salty wheat and potato based comestables are her raison d'etre.

At the Lambeth country show this weekend I managed to find the Welsh Spirit Stall, so I'm now down 30 quid, but up one bottle of plum and apple brandy, and one bottle of 50% Poitin.

Do you think they'd be better brought along, or left in the cupboard at home where they're not doing any harm?

Glad to see you've got your badge too ;)

Oh jesus, the last option!!

i'm happy to drink whatever cocktails idaho decides to make and i'm more than happy to pay my fair share :)

Same here, presuming I get my arse over to meet you at the right time :)

Cocktails and cider sounds like it might be a bit of a, er, 'heady mix' though

You want something special? Tell 'em all to bring cheese. That'll get the thing started.

The 3 Cs: Cocktails, Cider and Cheese (and Salty wheat and potato based comestables)

By all means bring whatever you like to drink - but don't expect me to try and mix something with poitin, bramble brandy and chocolate baileys :D

I am working on the assumption of about 30 people and 3 drinks per person. So we should run out before the fighting and puking start. And you don't *have* to neck the lot in 30 minutes :D

You are right, I'm leaving them at home. It'll help avoid the whole 'overexcited on the first night, sick for three days... what festival?' syndrome.

Getting close, so thought I would revive this one.

Did someone say they could bring a gazeebo and some ice?

Hopefully I'll be there early enough to get involved this year.

Don't let me get in a pickle before I put my tent up though.

I have a very large tarp, and a couple of smaller ones and I will pick up some bamboo poles - which I hope to use to create a shelter between a couple of vehicles*. I propose, if the weather is poor, having the cocktails in and around said shelter in the campervan field.

If the weather is dry then have it in the urban camping section?

*This may well turn into a slapstick routine more pathetic than funny.
