:D

thats the bonkers lambo entry into military jeeps:confused:
140mph fully loaded cross country:eek:
trouble was still a lambo fabulously expensive even the Saudi military couldn't afford to keep them running :(
I think the SAS tried to get some and got laughed at
gadaffis got a couple
completely and utterly insane :D

thats why they failed fine as a rich mans plaything.
but no way could you keep a fleet of those things running to do the job of a landrover. people at lambo must have gone completely mad.
"we make ludicrously powerful supercars what the worlds army's need is the same speed and power but able to go cross country as well"
worldwide squaddies went yes please:D
unfortunately defense ministers went hell no :(

Anyone driving one of these should be forced to erect a neon sign on the roof flashing the word, "SELFISH CUNT."

I really don't get the special hatred seemingly reserved for drivers of large SUVs. 15mpg is no worse than a lot of large luxury cars and sports cars. Perhaps it would be better to think of them as making a large voluntary donation to government funds. Flying is enormously more selfish, seeing as it basically untaxed, and produces tons of CO2 per flight.

A bit strange since Hummers are quite rare in the UK... :hmm:

Not that rare, I reckon I see a couple a week not including the one parked on our street (number plate YANKEE
wank.gif
).

I took some dry cleaning into Johnsons on St Johns Wood High Street this morning on my way to work. There were 2 Hummers and 17 other assorted 4wds (Cayennes, Rangies and X5's mainly) parked in about 100 yards.

they didn't survive that second one did they? with the hummer going into the bus :(

hopefully it was parked and the bus was reversing at 70mph :(

I think people loath huge 4x4s in towns because there
* too fucking big vans and lorrys are bigger but theres a point behind them
*take up too much road space
*you can't see over them
*drivers either can't drive them or just can't manovur them on congested urban streets
* indicate the owner is a wanker of the highest order :D

Cool. You've managed to generalise across a whole class of vehicles, and their drivers. Well done...! U75 salutes you..! :D

Read the link in my post. The bus was stopped, "improperly". They survived with minor injuries apparently.

susuki ickle jeeps normal cars with 4x4 not a problem
land cruisers and landys and g wagons in the right place no problem form follows function.
if you live in the sticks and come into town occasionally not a problem. but if your telling me you need a landcruiser for the 3 mile school run across Brighton then you are a wanker. sorry you've fallen for a stupid fashion brought a car thats not designed for city streets and made everybody else's and your life just the little bit harder. if you don't live off the grid its unlikey you need a 4x4

fair does thats a reason
but your actually using a 4x4 for what its intended do.
not spending all its time ferrying kids around a city:rolleyes: which is mostly what people rail against.
one thing if you use it for what its intended other thing if you buyt it for its bling factor

put that in a traffic jam and it doesn't not macho
ahh bless somebody is lacking in the trouser department:D
plus you can always look down on them from a bicycle when stuck in traffic:D

They don't look intimidating or tough though.

Compare what happens when a Hummer is parked on a busy street versus the same situation with a Ferrari or other exotic sports car.

Some people will stop to look at the Hummer, but they won't look particularly happy about it. Lots of raised eyebrows and looks of mock disbelief at its absurd size and ugliness.

More people will stop to look at the sports car. Now you might think they're unsophisticated types, the sort who'd like to watch Starlight Express or wear a Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt, but they appear to enjoy seeing the car. It gives them pleasure. Some will even pose by the car to have their friends take a picture. Or give the driver a thumbs-up sign if they see him (which is admittedly a bit of a sad thing to do).

I've seen this happen in both cases so I'm not shitting you.
