Lose Yourself came about about 3 years ago. are you seriously telling me you think it's shit, ninjaboy?

have to agree here - lose yourself is astonishing. definitely the best thing he's done.

i thought the last single but one was pretty weak and really sounded like a man running out of ideas, but the current one about being a terrible father because he's always away on tour etc is great - i just love the angry personal stuff.

In funny eminem mode - brilliant.

In boring wife/kid real-life mode - utterly useless.

His wife's shagging around behind his back, his mums trying to sue him, deal with it pal, don't rap about it.

Dubversion, i'm loathe to give you *yet another* thread on community about your damn box....

can you empty it a bit please??? ;)

i'll tell you what is useless - enimem trying to be in funny mode and failing miserably. that single - 'ass like that' - was dreadful. he had nothing to say, the jokes were lame and tired, and he sounded like a guy waiting to be put out to pasture.

at least on the personal stuff you can hear him gritting his teeth while he's rapping.

fair enough. i completely disagree with you, but at least you're consistent.

I thinks he's good in all guises but then again i think some of you have your own opinions on my taste :p

not that i know anyone :o

Everything (without the exception of two or three songs) since the Marshal Mathers LP has been shite.

agreed. although i cant think off-hand what the two or three songs are.. Lose Yourself, hmm that was ok i guess..

the man used to rap, and rap well, now he just shouts.

sure he now has even better crossover appeal with rock fans, unintentional i'm sure

i did an eminem appreciation thread about a year ago and no one replied.....

i don't think youse could handle the sheer awesomeness of my thread....

i completely and utterly disagree on that one. on the one hand he raps about r kelly (although he's not menioned by name, i'm pretty sure that's who he's on about in the first verse) pee-wee herman and michael jackson (all got underage sex/porn in common, whether guilty or not) and then he goes on about the sexualisation of young girls (the olsen twins, hilary duff and jojo (very young)) in mainstream pop culture.

I like "Mosh" from his new album.

That's about it though.

Still can't get over the "comedy rapper" image that he began his career with (i.e. "My Name Is" etc) and take him completely seriously though.

I liked white America and Superstar, Lose yourself was alright.

i guess. with michael jackson all over the news at the time of the single's release, it just seemed like a very easy target - and not one that he tackles that brilliantly either really. the comedy accent sections are dreadful - it didn't work as humour or satire for me.

Technically amazing rapper, but the beats & music he raps over are pretty much always shite. I'm really not a fan of Dr Dre west coast bling hop.

The stuff he did on Rawkus was pretty good though.

but ice cube did some amazing shit with a casio keyboard on one album

so did canibus

eminem never depended on dr dre, but i havent liked any of his stuff for a long long time

wasnt that 'just lose it' ? sure it was.. remember the video

:) in answer to the OP, as i cant be bothered to read the whole thread,
Eminem is very very cute(imo),, he's just got something about him,, fit body too, bit of a bad boy,,and his music is good, great lyrics, bit of an all-rounder,, and i wouldnt kick him out of my bed,, ;)
