Funki mamma
..still shakin' dat tush!
I went to a 'flagship' comp in Wales in the 70s. All the kids in the top streams
came from familys with 'proffessional' parents, i.e middleclass. The kids in
the lower stream were from the big estate near the school. Me included, I
left school at 14 with no qualificatons, no confidence, no future. The same
can be said of todays schooling system. I was an angry young punk, joined
a band got involved with drugs big time. A lot of my friends got into
prostitution, and other criminal activity. My point being that this has always
been the case, the 'criminal underclass' has just become larger and more
desperate. Technological advances have also meant easier communication
et all. Imagine how different the outcomes of the uprisings in the 80s would
have been if we had mobile phones, and the weapons of today.
